Maggie Segale (US, 1991) works at the intersection of movement, poetry, and visual arts with a focus on the body’s experience of life - its griefs, its joys, its revelations. She has performed and directed extensively in NYC since 2010, notably at Judson Memorial Church, Lincoln Center, and The Center for Innovation in the Arts. Since 2015, she has been a principal collaborator with artist Cally Spooner (Torino, IT) on projects: On False Tears and Outsourcing, OFFSHORE, DEADTIME, Maggie’s Solo; currently performing as a soloist at Kunstmuseum St. Gallen, Kunstverein Cologne and Kunstverein Düsseldorf.

She teaches movement, somatics, and dance for many different populations, notably as a Guest Lecturer at IAUV University of Venice, IT; LaSalle College of the Arts, Singapore; Flux Factory, NYC. She is on faculty at The Putney School summer program.

Maggie is a member of the 2022 cohort of Maumaus Independent Study Program school of visual arts. She trained in dance at The Juilliard School (BFA 2014), and in poetry with Alicia Mountain (2020, 2021).
