Maggie Segale was born in New Jersey in 1991. She is a choreographer, dancer, writer, sculptor, and teacher who makes interdisciplinary performance work about ongoingness, evading form, and countering the sinister effects of technofascism. Maggie earned an MFA in Dance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2026, a BFA from The Juilliard School in 2014, and a graduate certificate in Critical Theory and Philosophy from Maumaus Independent Study Program in Lisbon, Portugal in 2022. Most recently, Maggie performed in Jennifer Monson’s Towards the Both and has performed and presented choreography in such venues at Lincoln Center, Centre National de Danse de Paris, Art Institute of Chicago, Ludwig Forum Köln, Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore, and Judson Memorial Church. Maggie is a recent transplant to Vermont and is looking to build community with her art practice.
